Regular Courses

Diploma in Global Music Production - 18 Months
Monday to Friday : 9.30am to 3.00pm, Saturdays : 10.00am to 12.00pm

The DGMP course consists of 3 semesters of 6 months duration each.
The first semester focuses on the fundamentals of music. This semester will provide the students with a solid foundation in music across a wide range of musical genres and cultural backgrounds. The students are taught the Indian raga systems and Tala systems deeply and thoroughly. They are also prepared for the Trinity Foundation Level grade exams in Piano, Music Theory, Vocal, Drums and any one of the stringed instruments. The students are involved in intense practice sessions designed to improve their listening skills.
The Second semester focuses on the fundamentals of sound and music technology. The foundations are laid in necessary electronics and electric theoretical and practical knowledge, and they are taught MIDI and the basic MIDI programming. The students further continue advanced levels in Piano and Music theory and learn harmony and arrangements. They develop critical listening skills that are essential for audio recording and mixing.
The third semester focuses on training the students in advanced features of programming using different DAWs like Logic Pro and Pro-tools. Programming music for songs and composing score for films will be covered at this point. Besides, at this stage the students also learn to understand and use microphones and recording devices. They will be taught Synthesis, which will help them to edit and create new sounds.
The final part in the course prepares them to face the emerging, practical challenges in the fast changing world of music. The students are trained in the rudiments of Personal Management and Project Planning / Management. They are given the opportunity to create, manage and complete a live project with expert professional musicians who are active in the industry.

Kinder Music Land (KML)

KML is a highly specialised proprietary course developed by Alphons Joseph along with the team at Crossroads targeting pre-school kids. The kids are trained in fundamental musical concepts and singing through a scientific and child-friendly methodology. KML focuses on their holistic development with an emphasis on motor skills, self-esteem & social development. Through the KML method, children learn various musical concepts through specially chosen and musically relevant games and activities.

The Crossroads Proprietary Music Curriculum for Schools

Customised KML syllabus is now available for all Kindergarten schools:
The Crossroads team modifies its KML syllabus for different schools depending on the time and infrastructure available to specific schools. The KML syllabus has been proven to enhance the musical understanding and creative aptitude of the children. Kids have been found to be more joyful and confident in performing on stage after their exposure to KML. Rajagiri Kindergarten, Kalamassery has already begun to incorporate the KML syllabus into their curriculum for UKG.

Specialised Music Syllabus for Students ( Grades 1 to 12 )

Crossroads School of Music has also designed a specialised proprietary music syllabus for schools following the academic syllabus of CBSE, ICSE and IGCS. This is a customised curriculum carefully designed to fit seamlessly into the regular school curriculum. Crossroads provides well-trained teachers (Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Violin, Drums, Western & Eastern Vocals, Music Theory & KML) to teach customised music syllabus for each school. Students trained in this syllabus can appear for their international certificate exams (IGCS Syllabus, Trinity College London or Royal School, London) in their respective subjects.

Specialised Short Term Courses

Kinder Music Splash (A 15-day camp for kids aged between 4 to 8)

Monday to Friday : 9.30 am to 11 am

A 15 day camp which gives the little children an introduction to the KML syllabus in which they learn songs and concepts of music and prepare for a small performance at the end of the camp. The children can join the full KML regular batch after participating this camp.

Certificate in Music Production ( A 60-day evening course for young musicians )

Tuesday to Friday : 6.30 pm to 9.30 am

This intense two month certificate course trains students comprehensively in the basics of music music production. The course highlights are:

Pro Vocal Workshop ( A 6-day intense vocal course for aspiring singers above 15 years of age)
