Do I need any prior musical experience to enroll?

No prior musical experience is required for most of our courses. We offer options suitable for both beginners and those with some musical background.

What materials or equipment will students need for the course, such as musical instruments or textbooks? From where to procure this material?

Students will need to acquire their own instruments for learning and practice. We can offer recommendations for reputable music stores in Cochin. Additional books and materials will vary depending on the student’s grade or level, and we can either provide them at Crossroads or direct students to websites where they can purchase these materials themselves.

Will students have opportunities to perform or showcase their skills during the course?

At Crossroads, you’ll find numerous chances to collaborate with fellow students and showcase your talents. We regularly host recitals for every department and provide platforms at both school and public events. Additionally, there are opportunities for collaborative projects with industry experts.

Can students choose between individual & batch classes?

Yes, at the time of enrolment students can choose either individual classes or batch classes based on their preferences or needs. Even in a batch class, the teachers strive to provide one-on-one instruction and individual attention to each student

What is the usual batch size, and when does it typically commence?

Typically, a batch consists of 4-6 students, which can vary depending on the course. The commencement of new batches may be contingent on enrolling a minimum number of students.

Could you please share details about the grading system and assessments beyond the Trinity exam?

In addition to the Trinity exam, we conduct ongoing internal assessments and evaluations of students. Every 6 months, we arrange a parent-teacher interaction to facilitate effective communication between teachers and parents regarding the student’s progress and areas where improvement is possible.

Can students receive a certificate upon completion of the course?

Completing each grade material and clearing grade exams from Trinity College London will earn you certificates.

What is the refund policy if a student needs to withdraw from the course?

According to the school’s policy, fees paid are non-refundable.

Is there a minimum attendance requirement?

Students are encouraged not to miss any classes, as music learning is an ongoing process that relies on consistent practice and dedication, which directly impacts your progress.

Are there any flexible scheduling options or makeup classes in case of missed sessions?

In the case of individual classes, flexibility is contingent on the teacher’s availability, considering they may have other classes scheduled. However, for batch classes, such flexibility might not be feasible. Nevertheless, teachers at Crossroads remain committed to assisting students with their questions and concerns.

What types of support and resources are offered to students experiencing challenges in their coursework?

At Crossroads, our teachers are dedicated to ensuring that every student comprehends the fundamental concepts of their subjects. Students are encouraged to reach out to the faculty to resolve any questions or seek assistance with any difficulties they may encounter. In addition, many courses provide assistant faculty for additional support and instruction.

Are there any opportunities for financial assistance or scholarships within this program?

While this program doesn’t typically provide financial aid or scholarships, it may consider providing some support to exceptionally talented students with deceased or ailing parents who struggle to support their music education.

Can you arrange for a hostel service in case students from other locations wish to take the on-premise course?
